For the time being there is no background information. When I add the link to this from my homepage I will fill this section in.
For now I assume that the user is farmiliar with the algorythm and its purpose.
Starting the algorithm
When the applet first loads it displays the left and right random-dot images. To begin the calculation simply press the button labeled 'begin'.
The applet wilbegin the task of calculating the disparity map. Be patient, on some machines this can take quite some time.
Animating
After the calculations are complete a third, larger random-dot image will appear. This is the results of the first pass of the algorithm and represents the most random state the disparity map will be in. Press the animate button to watch the disparity map resolve itself into a reasonable facimily of the disparity between the two images.
