Ordinary Bitter

After bottling the IPA I started a batch of ordinary bitter from a house recipe at the Winemaker's Shop. I thought I would make something a bit lighter for the coming heat.

2 tsp of Gypsum as the water started boiling
4.5 lb DME
1 1/2 oz Goldings Hops boiled for 60 minutes
1 tsp Irish Moss in the last 15 minutes of the boil
1/2 oz Goldings Hops in the last minute of the boil

Chilled with the wort chiller
Pitched 1098 Brittish Ale Yeast

OG 1.035

After 1 week the SG was 1.010.
