Vacation, the rest of the story.

After my aggressive attempt to document my fist day of vacation Im afraid I slacked right off. On day two I still took notes (thats right, I was taking notes on my vacation) but they end on the second day. Here is the sum of my recollections for the remaining days.
Day 2

I went to Wishbone on Lincoln for breakfast. I ordered the very tasty breakfast burrito and pulled out the book I was reading; "The Art of Public Speaking" by Dale Breckenridge Carnegie.

Not but a few days before I was hit up by a friend to document the top 20 songs that came to my mind as formative to me. Those interested in my response can see them on my Facebook page. Here at Wishbone I was reminded that before I was in a possition to make my own decisions about music, I was influenced by my parents; a series of songs played that I recognized as some my Father used to play.

That was a bit of an awakening.

After breakfast I headed back down town where I finally got to go up into the Bridge-house. I highly recommend the bridge house for a quick and very inexpensive site in the city.  A very interesting museum dedicated to the history of the Chicago River.

After another stint in the cultural center reading room I went walkabout in the loop, stopping to see the city model at the Architecture Foundation. After a grand loop through the theater district and back to the fnancial district I passed through the security to see the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago Money Museum. Free shredded cash!

I went on to a rather disappointing lunch at the Exchequer then to the Winter Garden at the Harold Washington Public Library. Found the setting a bit too austere for pleasure-reading but I may have a different opinion in the dead of winter. Finally I popped back to the reading room to round out my day.

Days 3 - 5

As I said, I stopped taking notes, but in the following days I know I went to the Franklin Park Zoo, the Nature Museum, and sat on the shore just here, read "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and looked at the shoreline.  I took this awful picture.
